BAC - Pepper Canyon West Living and Learning Neighborhood

The Building Advisory Committee (BAC) advises the administration on the planning and design of the proposed Pepper Canyon West Living and Learning Neighborhood project. In this role, the BAC will review and make recommendations with regard to space needed to meet the needs of students within the project’s timeline and budgetary constraints.

Sixth College relocated to North Torrey Pines Living and Learning Neighborhood, vacating existing Residence Halls (432 beds) west of Pepper Canyon. This allowed the proposed project to redevelop the existing site (approximately 6.5 acres) to provide approximately 1,400 new beds for third and fourth year undergraduate students.

The campus intends to implement this project through a progressive design-build competition delivery model with a stated priority to provide the highest level of sustainable design and construction practices possible. The goal would be to start construction as soon as possible after Sixth College relocates to NTP LLN, with completion in 2022.
