To foster an environment for living and learning through the transformation of the campus center into a vibrant gateway destination. The Triton Pavilion project will be the development of a collection of buildings, spaces and places to serve as a defined entry portal district that will showcase the University’s culture and accomplishments and will provide a variety of services for students, prospective students, faculty, staff, alumni, and visitors.
Currently, the Triton Pavilion project is finalizing the Detailed Project Program (DPP) and is in Schematic Design, which is the first phase of the architectural design process. In this step, the architect works with the client to determine the project requirements and goals. The architect produces concept drawings that illustrate the basic concepts of the design, including spatial relationships, basic scale, and forms.
After the completion of Schematic Design, pending Regents' approval, the project will move into the Design Development phase, followed by the Construction Documents phase.
